You again raised the bar and sent in loads of cakes, one of which was just too lovely to sell, so Liz raffled this and that alone raised over £50.
Overall the sale raised over £210 which will be shared with the 6th-formers as thanks for their help on the day – ferrying the cakes away first thing and then during the sale too. Their portion goes to their favoured charity this year. And ours goes into the pot ready to help “Furnish the Future” for OPGS.
Thank you. It really is such a treat for so many of you to join in with this, and to have your boys bring them all in gladly.
I promise not to tease any next time, when asked if I was collecting cakes, as I sat there surrounded by them, I said “No” a couple of times. Shame on me…
Notes for next time: we remembered the knife but did need to dash for napkins.
Until next time… That may be the last Friday of the Summer term, depending on activities at the time – the school has a lot going on then so it may be that your baking will be called upon for something else.
Next up, the Golf Day – something entirely different.
