This year’s school production is the school version of “We Will Rock You” and if last year was anything to go by, it will be awesome and well worth a visit.
The PA is printing programmes again, this time glossy A4 with a likely print run of 100.
If your business wants to include an advert, email firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 10th July; we’re allocating blocks of 1/8 page size at just £20 each. Proceeds go towards supporting the school.
The programme goes to print on Tuesday 11th so it’s back in good time (and to allow some wiggle room!) – so we will need your advert by the Monday 10th please.
“Schools Will Rock You” will be performed on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th July, doors open at 7.00pm with the performance commencing at 7.30pm in the Main Hall. Tickets are priced at £10 with a commemorative A4 glossy colour programme or £8 without and are on sale now
Written by Ben Elton and featuring twenty of Queen’s greatest hits, the comedy musical is set 300 years in the future in a globally corporate world. Planet Earth has been renamed the Planet Mall and is controlled by the Globalsoft Corporation. Everyone wears the same clothes, thinks the same thoughts and goes about in a brain-dead haze. Musical instruments and composers are forbidden, and rock music is all but unknown. However, a small group of “Bohemians” struggles to restore the free exchange of thought, fashion, and (most of all) live music. With the help of Pop, an ancient hippie librarian, two Bohemians, Galileo and Scaramouche, find Rock’s Holy Grail, Brian May’s guitar buried in the remains of Wembley Stadium.
